Decided to try this place out for its soft opening and what a wonderful addition to Arlington it is. Beautifully decorated inside with great vibes. The bar is stunning and while we didn’t go to the other side, it looks like there was a nice hang out area with comfy chairs vs the dining area. For food and drink- we got a regular beer and seasonal cider which were enjoyable. The pimento cheese jalapeños wrapped in prosciutto were good, and the pimento and sauce really offset the jalapeños. Our main entrees - I got the Italian, which was fairly good, different taste with balsamic sauce. He got the Cuban which he enjoyed. Both were different in that they seemed to come on pressed hot dog buns vs sub bread. I liked it though! We’ll definitely come again and try some more things!

We wanted a good burger and seen this place. Pulled up and questioned the location and area, but said let’s try it. It’s a Diamond in the rough! The food presentation was beautiful! The taste matched the look! I got the Fig jam and egg burger, sounds weird but was great! Wife got the bacon and jalapeño burger, top notch. And she got the fried green tomatoes. Look to spent about $15 a burger but worth every penny! Has plenty of kids play area, a multitude of kids drinks and adult drinks and fast friendly service! Bathrooms was top notch and baby changing area. 2hr drive for us but we will be back soon!

Excellent smash burgers in this small pub. Only wish they had fountain sodas. Cute kids play area but it is a pub.

We had a wonderful experience at The Lazy Manatee! Friendly staff, food was tasty, beer selection was a nice mix up! The atmosphere was comfortable, spacious, and well done. Kiera (possible wrong spelling- so sorry) our waitress was excellent! Our daughter loved the kids area. We are so happy to have a new local hang out!

As a former practicing chef, I'm a culinary educator now, I was surprised by this place. Walking in it had a nice chill vibe. Sat down and saw a somewhat limited menu. Figured I'd go with a burger, can't go wrong. I learned something tonight from that burger! The flavors were exceptionally developed yet balanced. A true piece of art (flavor wise). I tried a sample of a different burger, just as excellent. Bravo, bravo, bravo. The presentation was unpretentious but the flavor was regal! I will be back often!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5+ Stars — Truly 10/10 Perfect! We recently were part of the planning team that hosted a 30+ person social gathering at The Lazy Manatee, and it could not have gone better!! From start to finish, everything was seamless. The service was exceptional as every time we’ve been here— attentive, organized, and genuinely welcoming. Hosting a group that size can sometimes feel stressful, but the team made it incredibly easy. They were on top of everything without being overbearing, and the entire event flowed effortlessly. The atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for — relaxed, fun, and family-friendly without feeling chaotic. The space is clean, well laid out, and perfect for a mixed group. The dedicated family area is a huge bonus. Adults could enjoy the taproom vibe while the kids had space of their own. That balance is hard to find, and they do it so well. The food and drinks are fantastic: 20 craft beer taps A great wine selection Plenty of non-alcoholic options that don’t seem like an afterthought Flatbreads, nachos, smash burgers, and a sausage board that everyone loves Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and crowd-pleasing. It’s the kind of place where you can gather, relax, and actually enjoy hosting without worrying about logistics. Cleanliness, atmosphere, service, and overall ease of coordinating a large group? 10/10 across the board. If you’re looking for a spot in Arlington that’s casual, welcoming, and perfect for both adults and kids — The Lazy Manatee is it. We cannot wait to go back!

A truly great addition to Arlington, The Lazy Manatee, provides the feel of a pub with the relaxed enough space to enjoy a beer, talk with friends and they have a kid's corner! We got the Charleston and Mario, which hit all the right flavor marks. The burger has a nice crust to it, a fine addition when having the Charleston with its fried green tomato and tasty, creamy pimento. I think the only thing I needed was hot sauce, something I'll bring next time. Our son enjoyed his flatbread pizza before quality playing in the corner. Its a good distraction but not a full entertainment area* so having a extra toy aint a bad idea. There were some cars so our son was content. Overall greta service, nice beer selection and best bet we'll be back!

My husband and I tried out The Lazy Manatee for the first time. I had their Cabernet (next time trying the one from Lebanon) and the chicken pesto flatbread (delicious). My husband had the tropical hopslam from Bell’s Brewing and Indica IPA from Lost Coast Brewing along with the pimento cheese stuffed jalapeños. He loved the hot honey and prosciutto combo with the pimento cheese. I’d give 10 stars if Google would let me. This is exactly what this area of town needed! They have beer and wine and seltzers along with a limited food menu (but honestly who needs 20 page food menu… on a Monday evening my mind breaks down with too many choices) that’s just the right amount of variations. Go give The Lazy Manatee and try!
